What we collect
When you call or book, we collect your name, a contact number, an email address if you give one, the address where the work is to be done, a description of the job, and notes we make while quoting or doing it. For some jobs we also need to be satisfied that you are entitled to have the work done, so we may ask you to show something that supports that and note that the check was made.
Why we collect it
We use this information to quote your job, arrange the visit, carry out the work, invoice it and answer you if you contact us about the same job later. We also keep the records that normally go with trade work. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Only the people and services we need in order to do the job and run the business, such as a payment provider, an accountant, or phone and email services. We disclose information to police or a regulator only where the law requires or allows it.
Security work is confidential
A record that a particular property has a particular lock, safe or access arrangement is sensitive. We treat it as confidential and do not discuss one customer’s security arrangements with anyone else.
This website and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, such as which pages are viewed and whether call buttons are pressed. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives technical information from your browser, such as your device type, approximate location and the pages you visit; it does not tell us who you are. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs to deliver and protect it. The site has no contact forms and does not use advertising cookies.
Information sent overseas
Some of the services we use may store or process information outside Australia. Google Analytics (provided by Google) and Cloudflare, which hosts this website, may handle website and analytics data in other countries, including the United States. Job details you give us by phone or email are used only for the purposes described above.
Storage, access and correction
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above or the law requires, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, by calling 03 7003 2262 or emailing info@bestservicelocksmith.com.
